Vehicle traffic through Colman Dock is expected to double by 2030. Provisions must be made for efficient traffic flow in and out of the ferry terminal. Moving SR99 to the east can provide ample opportunity to expand the vehicle staging area south of the terminal.

More Room for Ferry Traffic

Ferry traffic is a mess. Removal of the Viaduct will eventually allow land south of the ferry terminal to be used for waiting cars and public transit systems. The cross-sound routes will continue to grow as Kitsap County presses ahead with projected expansion. The future will bring more commuters needing easy access to Seattle. Seattle businesses will need them too.
